What is PPD Henna, or “Black Henna?” How can I Tell if my Henna is Natural, Body-safe Henna?
PPD henna, or “black henna” is usually sold in pre-made cones. Natural henna cones must be frozen until they are used because they have organic, perishable ingredients in them. PPD henna cones can be left out without any demise of the dye since the dye is an artificial substance.
Here is a flyer created by an international henna group known as PPD Free Henna Artists that provides more information about PPD henna, or “black henna”
